Summary: Establishes an exceptional and transitional regime for reorganizing work and minimizing the risks of transmission of COVID-19 disease infection in the context of industrial relations.

The epidemiological situation that occurs in Portugal as a result of the pandemic of the disease COVID-19 has justified, on the part of the Government, the adoption of several measures in order to prevent, contain and mitigate the transmission of infection.

At the time, the epidemiological reality experienced in Portugal justifies the adoption of specific measures applicable to companies in whose workplaces 50 or more workers work, first of all because the majority of Portuguese people return to face-to-face work and the school year began, circumstances that necessarily lead to greater contact and a greater number of social interactions, as well as an increase in people in circulation, which assumes a greater impact in areas with high population density and commuting.

Therefore, the Government believes it is necessary to establish rules for reorganizing and minimizing risks in the context of industrial relations with a view to preventing the transmission of infection by SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 disease.  (see full details at https://dre.pt/web/guest/home/-/dre/144272529/details/maximized)
